This book is a labor of love, born from years of admiration for the legendary Chan Canasta. Inspired by his iconic BBC television show, I set out to capture its essence – its captivating format and engaging structure – while adapting it for intimate performances with streamlined, accessible techniques.

This is a heartfelt homage to a performer who has inspired generations. Within these pages, you’ll find a complete 30-minute close-up mentalism show requiring only a few decks of cards and a magazine.

Experience six captivating acts:

• Memory Demonstration: Demonstrate astonishing memory by identifying 12 randomly selected cards from a shuffled deck.
• Synchronicity: Guide three participants through seemingly random actions, culminating in an impossible series of coincidences.
• Intuition: Enable a participant to intuitively discern a chosen card from another spectator’s selection.
• X-Ray Vision: A spectator secretly selects and pockets two cards. You not only reveal which card is in each pocket but also guide the spectator to correctly identify the location of each card.
• Magazine Test: Accurately predict a randomly selected word from a magazine. Culminate with a stunning prediction, revealing details about a randomly chosen photograph in the magazine, contained within an envelope that has been in full view throughout the performance. All routines are easy to learn and perform, yet demand polished presentation. This is a complete show designed to elicit strong reactions from even the most discerning audience.

While employing classic magic and mentalism principles, the routines are structured in a way that will baffle and amaze. The book also includes a one-hour downloadable video tutorial. I guide you through all the handling, setup, and performance steps, ensuring you have all the information you need to perform the show with confidence.
